City 2 Surf

On Sunday Nathan and I went to the city to meet up with Laura and her family for breakfast and to watch the race.

For 38 years Sydney has a city 2 surf race starting at Hyde Park and ending at Bondi beach 14 kilometres (8.7 miles) long.

We were standing on the side of the street in Double Bay, watching the racers run by and seeing all the people dressed up in costumes running/walking by

Here are some of the runners

Here are some tools

There was also a roof top band playing called Phallica, They were pretty good except for that they were rushing the songs a bit. Other than that I enjoyed them.

Apparently a 27 year old man died of a heart attack with 200 meters to go he collapsed and the paramedics couldn't revive him.

Spending the day with Laura and her family was great. She has 2 cute little boys (3 and 4 years old). The 4 years old loves computers so Nathan and I kept playing with him on the computer and He has his own email so he asked us for our info. Every day now Nathan and I receive cute little emails from him that says "hi" or "i love you" and it brightens my day.

Laura I love your family, Thanks for inviting us.

I had no idea someone died that day, now horrible.
I just put up a video on my blog of my 4 yr. old rocking to Phallica, it's pretty funny.
I'm so sorry the 4 year old is stalking you on email now-- he's kind of obsessed-- I think it may be LOVE.
I hope Nathan doesn't get all possessive on us.
We LOVED having you over, and are so glad we found you guys here.
